Leading Apartment Listing Website Expands Network to Support Growing Spanish-Speaking Communities in North America
NEW YORK, NY, February 13, 2017– Translations.com, a division of TransPerfect, the world's largest privately held provider of language services and translation-related technologies, today announced the launch of a new Spanish-language website for Apartments.com. The new website, Apartamentos.com, comes as part of Apartments.com’s initiative to expand their online presence, making them the only exclusively Spanish apartment listing site in the United States.
To create and deploy the Spanish-language website, Apartments.com deployed Translations.com’s GlobalLink technology to streamline the localization process, using an innovative workflow involving machine and human translation. Translations.com’s Brand Captain program was implemented to include the staffing of industry experts responsible solely for brand management in the localization process.
“We’re very proud of our new Spanish-language website, Apartamentos.com, which gives the same immersive experience to Spanish-speaking renters as our industry-leading Apartments.com,” said Fred Saint, President of Apartments.com. “Translations.com’s GlobalLink technology is a quick, efficient, and strategically important solution that allows us to expand our cultural reach and further develop our business.”
“Apartments.com is changing the apartment rental industry for the better by offering cutting-edge solutions for both renters and landlords,” said Phil Shawe, Co-CEO of Translations.com. “We’re thrilled to see that this inclusion extends to Spanish-speaking visitors, and look forward to supporting their multilingual strategy as they enter new markets.”
Co-CEO Liz Elting remarked, “For an industry pioneer like Apartments.com, making sure that web content in other languages is on-message and on-brand is crucial. We’re excited to support their objective of providing visitors with an enhanced in-language website experience to better link renters with residences.”
